• To attract research dollars to investigate natural ingredients that are usually unpatentable in veterinary medicine.
• To provide funding for clinical trials -- of products and services -- to determine the efficacy of natural and traditional medicine already in use by veterinarians in clinical practice.
• To serve as a resource for the veterinary industry that has long demanded clinical research to demonstrate the effects of natural remedies and nutritional products on the health and well-being of animals.
