Long
ago, the veterinary industry realized the need for clinical research to
demonstrate the effects of natural remedies and nutritional products on
the health and well-being of animals. The Veterinary Research
Council meets this need and will oversee research studies on the the use
of specific natural ingredients and nutritional formulas to treat
animals. Funding for the research comes from private donations, grants and member organizations.
Research
will be conducted under the direction of the VRC's Board of Directors.
The Board includes many pioneers of holistic veterinary medicine,
including: W. Jean Dodds, Susan Wynn, Joyce Harman and Nancy Scanlan.
